Description
Taco Bell launched the Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco (a Taco Bell taco with a shell flavored like Doritos) last year, and Americans went crazy for it. In fact, it was the biggest product launch in Taco Bell history. Minutes after, fans of the taco began began pining for a Cool Ranch version. But Taco Bell made them wait for it. For one year, Americans yearned for its release. This commercial brings that yearning to life, showing a devoted fan's pathetic attempt to create his own version of a Cool Ranch taco. It's set to the dramatic melody of Lionel Richie's timeless ballad "Hello". Only since Taco Bell represents an American/Mexican cultural mashup, the lyrics of the song are performed completely in Americanized Spanish.

Execution
The music used in this campaign is unique in the sense that we licensed a well-known track, and then adapted it by recording it completely in Spanish (not using the original artists). This musical twist added to the humor of the spots and reinforced the English/Spanish fusion of the Taco Bell brand.
