Execution

Interac, Canada’s largest debit payment network, continues to take direct aim at costly credit card fees in an effort to get consumers to think twice about the way they pay for holiday purchases. We created three unique out-of-home installations. To start, a giant snowball made of real snow and credit card bills was placed in the city’s financial district next to the headline “Don’t let debt snowball”. The following day, a half melted snowman was found at a major uptown intersection with the headline “Don’t get burned by credit fees”. Finally, just outside Toronto’s largest shopping centre shoppers were prompted to show off their love of the holiday season by kissing under real mistletoe with the headline, “Kiss credit fees goodbye.”
