Amnesty wanted a change from their usual "tough appraoch" showing photos of torture victims and people in chains. We chose insects for two reasions: First because a lot of people have been in the situations showed; seen an overturned bug or tried to pull the wings of a butterly when they were kids. Secondly and more importantly because it creates an interesting debate since we have used "cute" bugs. People wouldn't have cared if we had chosen a fly! So why are some bugs more important than others?
