Execution

80% of first time visitors to Internet Evolution arrive there from a blog referral by a colleague or friend. Over the past year Internet Evolution produced 1,675 blogs generating 2,313,252 views and 350 video blogs generating 555,118 video downloads. The content on Internet Evolution has been extremely well received, with the site’s readers posting 16,500 messages monthly. Internet Evolution’s radio shows, educational programmes, and live chats have generated an additional 35,000 chat messages, and resulted in 5,000 new members joining the community. Internet Evolution’s social networking sites have a loyal global following totalling 13,103 on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Outcome

Internet Evolution Radio shows have spurred tremendous engagement. Over the past year Internet Evolution hosted 65 IE Radio events, generating more than 10,000 messages with an average audience retention rate of 97%+. IBM assets on radio shows generated 25,000 downloads. The shows brought in 3,000 new members through its chat message feature, which requires users to register for the site.7DEE was an overwhelming success, registering more than 1,700 IT professionals of whom 1,300 attended the live and on-demand shows. More than 21,500 messages were posted on the lectures’ message boards over the course of our 21 classes. IBM received 9,450 downloads on its assets posted to the 7DEE pages.

Internet Evolution has held over 60 live chats in the past year generating 7,000 comments and more than 1,000 new members. Users must register for the site in order to participate.IBM was incredibly impressed with Internet Evolution’s new digital media strategy. 7DEE exceeded IBM’s wildest expectations, over-delivering on contracted leads by 114% and surpassing download goals by 185%. IE Radio shows and live chats delivered tens of thousands of new leads and messages. Since the rollout of these programmes, IBM has continued to increase its spend on these products.
