Description

Honda has been gaining fans since its foundations in 1948, and there are still fans driving classic cars even now. One of the elements that attract people to Honda cars is the vehicle’s engine and the engine sound, so-called the “Honda Engine”. The uniqueness comes from its sound, its smooth rev up, that excites and attracts drivers.

But these days, the development of hybrid engines has become conspicuous, and uniqueness of engines is decreasing. The fans are also losing excitement towards cars (young people don’t even know about the enthusiasm) but they still can’t abandon their hope.

So, we tried to bring back the excitement about Honda cars.

There is there S800 (1966), a successful sports car available as either a coupe or roadster and continuing the advanced technology of its predecessors; the N360 (1967), Honda’s first fully-fledged production model car; the Civic Type R (1997), the first civic to inherit Honda’s racing spirit and the NSX-R (2002), the one and only super car to be described as “our dreams come true”.

With this app, we realized the experience of driving with the engine sound of the car you have long been dreaming about.

Execution

It was announced in Honda’s official website and official social media (Facebook and Twitter).

People were able to download the app through the app store.

Outcome

Driving time became more fun. The love for Honda became even stronger.

The app received vast media coverage. Gaining a huge following from Honda fans, and features on Twitter and Facebook, led to more attention resulting in 10,000 downloads in less than a month after the launch. The app became a new favorite for enjoying various types of travel.
