Description
The Jeep Grand Cherokee has all of the ruggedness of a Jeep 4 x 4, but it has increased refinements throughout the vehicle. This led to the spot's premise - The more Grand Cherokee. "Grand O'l Opera" features Jeep Grand Cherokee owners going about their business - a man helps a car out of a ditch, a park ranger releases a fox into the forest, a man picks up manure from a supply store, a swimmer prepares for early morning laps and three buddies head out on a fishing trip - all while singing Italian opera. Though life is often rough, it's a bit less rugged for them.Real opera singers were cast for the commercial. The featured song borrows from the famous opera, La Boheme. The Italian lyrics were written especially for this commercial and translate to "Woe is not for me. Everyday is a joy. I explore, where the air is clear." Each performance was recorded live on location.
