The AEG-Electrolux Decibel online campaign promotes AEG-Electrolux's lines of extremely quiet kitchen and laundry appliances. By drawing consumers' attention to noise levels in their own cities, the campaign creates understanding for the relatively high levels of noise we are all subjected to in our daily environments, as well as in our own homes by appliances. Physical billboards have been placed in several major European cities and the billboards are equipped with microphones that measure the local sound level in decibels. These sound levels are then continuously and in real-time fed to the campaign site where visitors interact with the information.
