Background

In the context of a global energy crisis, energy conservation and emission reduction, Midea launched the Smart Home Energy Solution - MHELIOS: Midea Home Energy Linked Inverter Optimization System. It hopes to enter the overseas photovoltaic energy storage market through product launch and help the brand increase its market shares.

In this project, we need to construct the product concept and product story by producing 3D videos, and visual design materials based on the unique advantages of the product. The videos, in particular, need to demonstrate the advantages of its principles and technologies, help the brand to convey product value at offline exhibitions in Europe, and use them on e-commerce platforms.

The challenges lay in demonstrating the principle of photovoltaic conversion and energy storage in a creative and branding diverse way. This requires our videos to be more storytelling, showing the role and impact of products on intelligent life.

Execution

It's a journey about energy, nature, and life. Aims to show the features of MHELIOS.

In the dance of the round sun,

the dawn kisses every corner of home,

and the rhythm of power within us arises.

Here, the circle ever shineth

Here, the circle(button) captures the light

Here, the circle(wheel) allows sunbeam to walk around us.

The circle of life had always been depicted by poets.

It whispers harvesting the sun,

letting its warmth permeate not just spaces,

but the very core of us.

Under the solar embrace,

you can be your own source of power.

As the sunlight gets transformed,

we become boundless,

just like an energy circle in expansion,

projecting the manifesto of greener future.

Outcome

The promotional campaign has achieved multi-channel exposure through our videos, covering global industry experts, Midea's distributors, and European mass consumers.

It has gained over 600k views on YouTube and has been synchronously released on Midea's WeChat Channel and KOLs for photovoltaic, attracting attention and shares from industry professionals.

This video also helped the brand to stand out at global roadshows, conveying the concept of technological innovation, green living, and desires more effectively through conceptual visuals and dynamic presentations. It also demonstrates its USP, it is more humanized and intelligent, enhancing brand image and authority.

Video is being distributed both online and offline through various industry exhibitions, and global tours, attracting overseas distributors order intentions in Europe. Due to the success of first product launch exhibition, European division decided to expand the scope and finally did more than 10 roadshows all around Europe within 2 months.
