Getin Bank is a brand of retail banking. It has built its market position on a strategy of concentrating on particular products ie. selling time deposits and loans. For business reasons, the Board decided to change the course completely in 2012, and move away from selling single products towards comprehensive financial support of Clients. Getin aspires to be the banking institution of first choice, where Clients eagerly transfer to from other banks, bringing their household budgets along with them. But for that to happen Getin needed to develop tools enabling everyday contact with the Bank.

As a result, we’ve decided to substitute the traditional log in method with a system based on a swipe pattern, which the client chooses himself using 16 squares available. The pattern must consist of 8 squares, from which at least one must be repeated.

Because of the security reason, during the initial log in, the application is automatically paired with our internet banking account . This way our account knows which telephone uses the mobile application. When our phone gets stolen, we can de-authorize the phone to access our account. The application stops working, which is an additional security measure.
