Execution

Starting from the insight that usages are unlimited, we created Powertape Peut (Powertape Can), a website platform on which people can view a collection of virals that demonstrate both everyday tasks and extraordinary feats being achieved by Powertape users. We shot 20 virals that ranged from Z-movies to Documentaries and Jackass types of stunts. The virals were then seeded throughout France's most popular video sharing platforms and blogs. They all ended with a tag that led the user to powertape-peut.com, where they could view additional videos. There they could also enter a contest that asked them to write the ending of a video. The virals were seeded on blogs, had their dedicated space on Dailymotion and wat.tv and were shown in video banners.

Outcome

It's still early to measure the final results, as the campaign is evolving, but for the first month of the campaign the videos were seen more than 1.5 million times in France, the website registered more than 350 thousand pageviews with more than 150 thousand visits. The videos were so far mentioned in over 1000 blogs and counting.
