We created furry tails out of fake sheepskin rugs and slid them onto rear wipers. Then we switched them on and drove around town. At first glance, it looked like a dog was happily wagging its tail and dramatised the simple message “The Pet Show’s back in town”. The cars caused a sensation, amusing everyone who saw the “happy tails”.
Outcome
Total cost of each tail was $2 but the impact was priceless. People following or walking past the “happy tails” got the message. At the pet show, people got their picture taken with the tails and wanted to buy them. Not surprisingly, there was a record turnout.
