Execution
Using guerilla tactics was an opportunity to leverage the uplifting spirit already present during the holiday season and pleasantly surprise Canadians during their morning routine. We chose spaces that would involve physical interaction with the largest amount of people such as public doors, park benches and elevator panels. We gift-wrapped each space with bright red bows, ribbons and gift tags. Some of our locations included famous Toronto landmarks like the Eaton’s Centre, Union Station and the PATH walkway, popular park benches in St. James Park, Grange Park and Yorkville, and elevator panels in the financial district skyscrapers.
Outcome
In total, we gift-wrapped over 60 high traffic public spaces throughout downtown Toronto and Montreal. Passersby photographed themselves performing the good deed that was asked of them, and posted it on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #peopleforgood.
