The mailing was one of the tools used by PlayStation towards dealers & journalists but surely played a role in supporting the hype around new games before their launch.
The dealers increased their orders significantly– we’ve noticed an increase in sales by 14,25%. New games had also a lot of press coverage in specialized and mainstream press: the mailing which showed the “Impact of PlayStation on dealers and journalists".
