Description
To tell people about the re-launch of the Ray-Ban Ambermatic aviators, sunglasses that shift in color depending on weather, we created a mobile app that gives them a chance to virtually see the world through the Ambermatic lens.
The app lets users snap a picture with their phone, then instantly sends it to the Ambermatic installation, where the photo is projected and taken through a pair of the iconic sunglasses, analog-style. And just like the weather, the yellow hue changes with each image, allowing users to experience the world through the Ambermatic shades.
We may not be the first ones to release a photo filter app, but in a world where everyone tries to mimic the retro look through digital filters, we decided to do it for real.
Execution

Outcome
The RayBan Ambermatic experience gave anyone the chance to try on a pair of Ambermatics for themselves. Over 13,000 images were generated through the installation.
