Our idea was simple. We wanted to highlight the fact that reading books is good for you.So we took instances where books have helped people earn money, do great things. These we put as illustrated stories in a little book format.The little books were distributed in schools, at children's clubs and events.

Outcome

Many youngsters who preferred other things over reading began to visit our bookshop. We introduced special schemes to encourage this inflow of youngsters to our bookshop.The books that the stories were based upon saw an increase in sales too.We sold 156 copies of Lord of the Rings from November to January. These figures are far more than the the book's usual sales.But we had achieved what we set out to do. Encourage reading amongst youngsters.
