Description
The film is an emotional metaphor for the journey of HIV patients and their doctors in today’s world, proving Gilead knows the importance of the patient-doctor relationship when it creates new, better treatments. We focused on the fact that you can now live a near-normal life with HIV, but have to suffer the consequences of treatments when you get into your 50s/60s. That is why the film shows a runner – a proxy for a patient – encountering a wolf – a stand-in for HIV – but carrying on throughout the years thanks to his watchful doctor. Moreover, we emphasize how they age together, since one patient will usually be followed by the same medical professional over the course of his or her life. Having established how this relationship matters in “the long run”, we finally introduce Gilead’s latest treatment option, which is notably better for kidneys and bones.
