Description
We created purchase receipts that tell the story of some of the most symbolic shootings in America to show how the easy access to guns is the one pervasive reason of the gun violence problem in the United States. The idea is to bring people back to the moment where the shootings started and where they could have easily been stopped - the moment of purchase.
By doing that we created awareness and called people to demand change to gun legislation.
Execution
The main element is the receipt. We took all the elements present in regular sale receipts and recreated them to tell the stories of the most famous shooting in America. Each receipt has a different style, format, and execution, but not losing the receipt visual easily recognizable by the consumers.
Outcome
The posters were displayed in places that sell something, that people have contact with a receipt, such as restaurants, stores, supermarkets, and placed as close as possible to the cash register. Making an easy connection with the consumer that are buying things as easily as they could buy a gun.
