Since 2013 a merciless civil war rages in South Sudan. 50,000 people died. 3.2 million people were displaced. Industrialized nations illegally sell large numbers of weapons to both warring parties. The biggest initiative against arms trades worldwide – Control Arms – wanted to start a petition addressing the United Nations. Its goal: an arms embargo. Every vote counted.

The animated film shows a village which is taken by armed soldiers and tanks and calls up to join a petition against arms trade.

We designed a landing page for the sole purpose of collecting and digitizing the voices of our supporters. We sent the link to our interactive petition to all our existing supporters and asked them to share the news. Additionally the link was seeded in social media platforms only 6 weeks before the successful UN intervention. Thanks to its viral nature it spread fast.
