Background
Half of the world's women have given up on their dreams, and are unsatisfied with their lives - that was the alarming finding that led us to take action.
SK-II believe that nothing in life and skin is a foregone conclusion, and every woman can change her destiny. If women were no longer dreaming, and if they were not satisfied with their lives, how can they change their destiny?
We wanted to help women break out of their mold and take that first step in changing their destiny.
Our objective, therefore, was to inspire as many women as possible by creating normalcy through scale, and create a phenomenon of women starting to talk about the importance of dreaming again.
Execution
Other than a simple questionnaire each respondent filled out about herself, there was no script, no set discussion guide, no "takes." Four cameras filmed 120 hours of raw footage which was reduced down to 4 minutes of culturally relevant content per country.
The films launched on June 21 globally - taking over social feeds, with focus on relevant video platforms such as YouTube and youku (China).
