With this in mind, smart chose dumpsters in São Paulo to send a message. Artists were invited to customise dumpsters with happy, colourful images. The smart dumpsters were placed in neighbouring areas, motivating people to get rid of their 'excess'.
Outcome
In three days, hundreds of objects were 'retired', creating space in people’s homes and reinforcing smart’s position: occupy space intelligently.
