Hollywood legends Steven Spielberg and Barry Diller committed to run 10 consecutive 2-hour drama episodes called 'TAKEN'. This was not a mini series but the most gigantic mega series ever! The media team was responsible for creating a robust and innovative media programme to drive 'tune-in' ... for 10 nights. (Not even the Olympics asks for this dedicated viewing commitment.) Research told the media team that in order to help the SciFi Channel achieve its ratings goal that they would have to expand the target audience dramatically. They needed mixed media — multiple non-traditional media tactics as well as multiple innovative uses of traditional media — in order to engage this broader audience. The media team was responsible for creating a robust four-month/three-phased media programme that successfully helped SciFi Channel broaden its viewing audience.
