We had access to a complete set of materials from the brand (cans, racing posters, ads and promo materials from Repsol’s communication efforts over the past decades). Inspired by the brand’s heritage in racing, the 5 tin posters highlight 5 key messages: Agility, Performance, Versatility, Premiumness and 50 Years of Legacy, all conceptually connected to a celebratory and iconic oil can.
Outcome
65 x 44 cm tin posters mounted on cardboard structures that resembled the long-gone adverts of automotive lubricants. With this initiative, we wanted to offer tribute to the brand by activating it at the heart of repair shops, the brand’s most relevant environment and where it gets truly prescribed. These posters and cans were produced as 12,000 lithographs in 5 colours on tin + varnish, shaping posters and 1 litre cans and presenting them in boxes lined in natural craft paper (140gr). Blind embossing on the cover and Chinese spindle for the boxes. We worked only with suppliers with an active environmental policy.
