Description

YouTube recently introduced brand-new html5 functionality. One of which is a built-in speed control. Using either the in-player menu, or keyboard shortcuts – you can slow down or speed up the playback of any video.

So to launch the new AMG GT we took this never-before used YouTube feature and created a revolutionary new video experience. For the first time ever, YouTubers could control the speed of the AMG-GT as it rips around the track.

Execution

The video was promoted with 5 second YouTube pre-roll, masthead, and companion banners.

Outcome

The campaign launched April 13th, 2015 so results are yet to be generated. Initial results, however, look extremely promising.
