Background

People that are born with intellectual disability suffer from isolation from the society because most of the times they the people around them don't integrate them in their daily activities as they should.

How could we raise awareness about the inclusion of people with this condition in our society?

The objective of Special Olympics has always been to raise awareness and promote the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in our society.

Idea

The film shares the story of a young boy’s pursuit to follow in his hero footsteps. Inspired by watching he's hero in a Judo competition he starts following his path to become an athlete, we follow the boy as he works to begin his own training in the sport. In the end, we see that his biggest inspiration is his father.

Strategy

As a part of the whole set of activities, the Special Olympics was launched on April 6th,

The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. The objective was to be the key piece that would properly give an end to the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi.

Execution

The campaign on the first part was launched on April 6th on Mexico and Panama in sports venues and offices. , The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. The objective was to be the key piece that would properly give an end to the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi.

Outcome

The impact that was generated by this piece was to raise awareness and promote the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in our society.

It also has been proved that whenever they get included in the society not only their mental and physical health improves, but also the whole social environment where they develop.

The campaign hasn't been presented for that much time, that's why it doesn't have measurable results yet.
