The Battle of the Somme was one of the bloodiest battles in history. We have demonstrated this by using the sound of a bullet dropping on a table to represent one life lost in the battle. We then dropped hundreds of bullets onto a table to demonstrate how many lives were lost during the first hour of the battle. We then invite the listener to find out more when they visit the World Was one exhibit at the War Museum.
