Description

Yahoo!’s Time Capsule Project was a hugely successful integrated and unconventional online campaign that embodied the vibrant, fun sprit of Yahoo! while traversing cultural differences, multiple languages, and geographic dispersion. To celebrate Yahoo!’s new homepage, with 500 million worldwide visitors daily, the Time Capsule allowed users to document what the world was like in 2006 and how the Web has developed through the years. Leveraging Yahoo!’s vast network with banner, text and interactive advertisements, and 10 million emails to Yahoo! users, Yahoo! promoted and encouraged 3 million unique Yahoo! visitors to contribute over 170,000 contents to the Time Capsule.
