The TV Doctors of America idea relied on the surprise “reunion” of actors and actresses who have played TV doctors in America at some point in memorable popular culture. We had to choose carefully to insure we found talent who were still culturally relevant, highly identified with a prior TV Doctor role, and had the potential for strong social engagement among fan bases on personal accounts or ongoing engagement with their characters and shows. If they met these criteria, of course their fans would live around the world — as far as the popularity of the show traveled. But as our mission was based on a US statistic from the CDC to save 100,000 lives in America, the primary need was be hyper-relevant to our American audience in order to drive American engagement and response to the surprising reunion of these specific characters-in the form of getting their annual check-up.
