Background
A powerful series of outdoor from WWF shined a light on the race to bring our world back to life. The beautiful imagery for the campaign was illustrated by (..), who famously designed the The Handmaid’s Tale book cover.
The first illustration depicted an hourglass timer, with flames fast approaching the woodland in the second half of the hourglass. In contrast, the second illustration highlighted the race to reduce our human impact on the environment with a polar bear whose nose is an hourglass where time is almost up. Both use a simple palette of black, white and red.
Execution
Breaking from the traditional styles of charity campaigns, we looked to a new visual language of simple, bold graphic elements. More in tune with the new generation of environmentalists & climate activists. We worked alongside Noma to create two different executions - the first being flames fast approaching our natural world. The second hour glass making up the facial features of a Polar bear.
