This film is centred around the idea of 'Up'—an attitude that drives people to achieve. It tells the stories of personal progression and human achievement in the Royal Australian Air Force, set against the backdrop of incredible aircraft and hardware on the ground, and in the air.

Throughout the film we follow the journeys of four characters:

o a young boy who dreams of, and then becomes a Pilot

o a young woman who grows tired of her corporate career and becomes a Loadmaster

o a mother who enjoys the work-life balance offered by her role as an Air Traffic Controller, and

o a young doctor who helps the victims of a natural disaster.
