OVERVIEW

Description

To publicise the new Burger King at home service, we took a Burger King straight to a home. We created the BURGER KING APARTMENT, a rental apartment with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a BURGER KING.

We produced a video showing the surprise of prospective tenants who came to visit the apartment and discovered its secret, and a direct link to the web and telephone ordering service.

As well as making a reality of everyone's dream of having a Burger King at home, there was a discount of 15% on orders in the first 48 hours.

Execution

The video was filmed in September 2014 in an apartment that we advertised for rent on the major property websites and included the telephone number and website to generate orders from home. In addition, all orders in the first 48 hours had a 15% discount.

The campaign aired on digital media over the course of one month, but the greater part of distribution was viral, through blogs all over the world.

Given that the recording was made with people that were not actors and with hidden cameras, we had no script to rely on. This meant that we encountered quite a number of surprises, both pleasant and less so, that forced us to modify somewhat the plan we had at the beginning.

With regard to impact and sales, we surpassed both our expectations and those of the client.

Outcome
