OVERVIEW

CampaignDescription

We are convinced that there are no people with limited possibilities.

There are people with unlimited talent.

We believe that only acting on the breaking point of one's abilities, one can discover his creative potential.

And who else if not teens with special needs can demonstrate the way to live and to create at the breaking point of abilities?

Execution

9 teens went to expeditions: they climbed the mountains of Caucasus and went through ices of Lake Baikal. They live in severe north conditions, move along the ice desert, balance on the edge of the rock.

During the expedition participants made amazing photos, which we presented at the interactive exposition in the centre of Moscow, and then in the major city park.

With the help of interactive installations visitors had the possibility to stand in the place of photographers and to try making the similar photos of wild nature, taken far from any civilization. The installations demonstrated what it is like, for example, to hold camera in hand while having strong hand tremor.

The project was supported by famous actors, cinema critics and photographers. The film about our heroes took place at the opening of the interactive exposition and then was shown on federal channels and in Moscow cinemas.

Outcome

For the first time in Russia an event took place, that allowed to stand into the place op people with special needs and special talent.

Mentioning of “FotoCh” in media increased by 1976%

Total audience 59 518 000 people (OTS)

PR Value 1 428 571, 53 USD

Media impressions 415 107 774

But the most important thing is that we proved to the society that there are no people with limited possibilities.

Relevancy

We organized the breathtaking project ‘Breaking Point’: photo expedition with children from «FotoCh» to the mountains of Caucasus and through ices of Lake Baikal.

We invited the audience to look at the amazing photographs on the exposition in a museum in the centre of Moscow. With the help of interactive installations we offered visitors to stand in the place of photographers, discover the story of each photograph and to try making the similar photos of wild nature. We proved that no people with limited possibilities and there are people with unlimited talent.

Strategy

To alter the attitude of society to people with special needs and to prove, that there are no «limited» possibilities, we addressed our audience who are men, women older than 25 years. People who are interested in art, visit museums, parks and go to cinemas, love traveling. They are active users of social networks, who are familiar with Internet shopping and read news online. Our project was also targeted at state institutions, capable of supporting «FotoCh».

We advertised our unique photo expedition in online news media and on channels of popular bloggers. We made a documentary film which was shown by Russian federal channels and Moscow cinemas. Photos made during the expedition were presented at the exposition in the centre of Moscow and in the popular city park, where bloggers and celebrities were invited. Publications about the exposition appeared in lifestyle and art media, on TV, radio and in blogs.

Synopsis

The task of the campaign «Breaking point» is to alter the attitude to people with special needs and spread the knowledge about «FotoCh», which helps children with disabilities to master skills of the photography art.

We organized the photo expedition with children from «FotoCh». They climbed mountains of Caucasus and went through ices of Lake Baikal. Amazing photographs we presented at the interactive exposition in the centre of Moscow where every visitor could literally stand into the place of the photographer due to special installations. We also launched a flashmob in social networks to tell online audience about the project.
