Welt-Online, the new news portal of the WELT (one of the biggest German daily newspapers) wanted to create more awareness from media decision makers. The idea should be based on the campaign idea: “In a few minutes a lot can happen”.
Effectiveness
The front page caused a lot of upheaval amongst the specialized public and brought a lot of clicks and new advertising to the online-portal.
Execution
We covered the W&V (one of the biggest German magazines for applied communication) with a fake front page. This page announced the end of the magazine. Wording: Last issue of W&V – editors decide immediate abandonment. On the next page the campaign slogan clarified: “In a few minutes a lot can happen. Welt-Online.”
