OVERVIEW

BriefExplanation

SKODA Australia wanted to see how far customers would go to connect with their car, in a scenario people could both relate to or even wish for – buying a new car and being dazzled by futuristic technology. All caught on hidden cameras

A Cyborg Salesman was created to demonstrate SKODA's latest technology, Smartlink and what it’s about. With USB implant in his arm connecting to the car, the science fiction of ‘Cyborg Salesman’ appeals to tech-heads, while still humorous and accessible for all.

EntrySummary

The ŠKODA content film used 11 hidden cameras, 7 unsuspecting customers and 1 futuristic implant to test how far customers will go to be connected with their car.

The Cyborg Salesman demonstrates the Fabia’s new features and SmartLink functionality, explaining the futuristic connectivity requires customers to have a small operation for the SmartLink device to plug into their arm. All is recorded by hidden cameras, with hilarious results.

Eventually, the Cyborg Salesman reveals that plugging their smartphone into the dashboard USB will connect them seamlessly to Smartlink - it was all a setup.
