Overview

BriefExplanation
Every life is shaped by special moments. They say, that at the end of someone's life these special moments will flashback. But how do blind people look back at their lives?
The clip revolves around that question. It tells the story of a woman describing the strong moments in her life. She even describes the simple things she is grateful for like heaven and water.
While we listen to her, the woman gets younger and younger until suddenly, we see her as as a young blind girl. It shows us that if she hadn't had an operation as a child, those moment she describes would have simply not existed.
EntrySummary
Based on the German saying "Wir öffnen Augen" (We open eyes) we show the life changing powers of the international non-profit organisation Christoffel-Blindenmission.
Translation
When we casted our actresses we couldn’t find a woman old enough. That’s why we had to create one. The only problem was, that our CGI grandmother would have to seamlessly morph into her real younger self – that was filmed with one the best digital cameras money can buy: the Alexa 65. With that camera you can see into every pore of a humans face. That’s why we had to create a ultra highRes digital double 15 years older than the actual human but as detailed in the surface and in mimic animation of the very complex facial muscles.
Once the digital woman was finished we had to seamlessly morph her and the three other actresses together going from 80 to 5 years in under 50 seconds.
