Why is this work relevant for Film Craft?
The film continues to build on the magical realism established in the former executions. In keeping with this, ‘Hailstorm’ was approached more like a fable than a piece of straight realism, the storm serving as our relentless villain and the little car- our allegorical hero.
Please provide any cultural context that would help the Jury understand any cultural, national or regional nuances applicable to this work.

Write a short summary of what happens in the film.
The film 'Hailstorm' tells the story of a little car who seeks shelter from an incoming hailstorm. Propelled by some invisible force, it drives itself to the perfect hiding place and ultimately avoids any damage from an onslaught of falling ice.
Background:
The campaign continues to bring renewed meaning to ‘HELP’ by defining it as a promise to be there for whatever goes wrong. The campaign, centres around the messaging of, ‘Until then’ (when accidents cease to occur) ‘-we’ll be here to help.’
Tell the jury anything relevant about the direction. Do not name the director.
The photography sought capture the realism of the city and the tangible drama of the storm, playing this out against the more whimsical personality of the little car.
The storm itself was created using a combination of in-camera physical effects and background CGI. Interestingly, it may also be worth noting that the film was shot on what could only be described as an incredibly bright Australian summer’s day.
