We showed just how beautiful the new Alexa is by giving her the body of the worlds sexiest man alive, Michael B Jordan.

The spot starts with some Amazon executives discussing Alexa’s new look.

Then a female executive daydreams what it would be like if Alexa lived inside of Jordan.

What follows is a series of romantic vignettes in which the protagonist asks Jordan to carry out mundane tasks, such as turning on the sprinklers to create a Notebook-esque moment and reading an audiobook in the bath – to the chagrin of her partner.

These vignettes includes Jordan reading her books while she bathes and telling her how to say, "You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen," in French.

The smart speaker category is busy so making the product stand out is key. What sets it apart, is its beautiful design.

The spot launched on Super Bowl night to entertain the largest audience in the US helping humanize Alexa to create brand love.

This is the first Super Bowl ad for the actor, who has starred in “Creed” and “Black Panther.”

Spherical lenses for the office scene and anamorphic for the fantasy allowed the two worlds to be different, so immediately there were two distinct qualities.

The direction was key for capturing the comedic moments between the cast. The commercial plays off Jordan’s sex appeal with just the right amount of innuendo and the direction was key at getting that balance right.

With such an accomplished director, there were plenty of vignettes to choose from for the final edit.
