On the first year anniversary of Asharq News, we had the unique brief of producing an image piece that could signify the achievements of the channel over the first year. But our creative response was to focus on the achievement shown by the teams to overcome the pandemic and still get the job done. Many staff who were hired in the first year worked remotely and hardly saw the office. As we approached a more relaxed protocol, we used the opportunity to film in the office. Using the drone to fly through the office, to create a "minute in the life of Asharq". The spot aimed to show the beautiful decor of the office, the teamwork shown by the staff, and the technology of the studios. A seemless fly through between the multiple location with smart transitions, the spot ends with a call to action of "One Team"

This spot was filmed just as we approached a more relaxed Covid protocol, but we still had to ensure safety protocols were adhered to. In a news office where many activities and studio recordings are happening, it was a real challenge to organize everyone. But the producer did an amazing job of organizing the office and crew.

the ambition of the production was to highlight the team spirit of the organization, by flying through the office in a "minute in the life of Asharq". We wanted the staff to see the teamwork it took to produce the news stories they create. One challenge was the noise of the drone, which needed to be filmed when no studio recording was happening. Also, the challenge of moving between multiple locations saw a creative response of smart transitions using elements of the location. Safety concerns during Covid was the last challenge which was overcome by ensuring all safety protocols were met.
