Write a short summary of what happens in the film.
Through a series of shots bordering on the absurd, the film makes use of hyperbole to demonstrate the way in which families can often become a cumbersome presence in the lives of people with Down syndrome, particularly when it comes to romantic relationships. The video unfolds as a cover of the song "Just The Two Of Us" plays in the background.
Tell the jury about the choice of music track.
We chose the song “Just the Two of Us” by Grover Washington Jr. and Bill Withers because we loved the contrast between its lyrics and the scenes of the film where our two protagonists are surrounded by families to the point where they cannot fully enjoy their romantic intimacy together. We decided to rearrange the song in such a way that the slower rhythms corresponded perfectly with the tender scenes that were being portrayed. We also decided on a duet: two singers whose soulful voices exchanged lines, resulting in a perfectly balanced, warmhearted and intense performance.
