In this episode, Kate McKinnon goes en pointe to investigate the 2015 Ford Focus and its great looks,

Renowned Anthropologist, Genevieve St. Jermaine, Ph.D., puts on her Tutu and prances her way through a veritable forest of Ford Focus splendor.

In 2015, Ford came out with a new Focus. We started referring to the new Focus as the car that offers more - good looks, great power and loads of features. And we had reason to believe that young women would really, really like it.

And even if they didn’t buy a new Focus, we thought that exposing them to the Focus’s design and features would get them to rethink their assumptions about Ford.

So, we set out to create something entertaining - and unexpected - coming from a legacy brand like Ford.

And so, we created The More Experiments, featuring SNL cast member Kate McKinnon. Kate plays a quack anthropologist out to test this idea of “more”. She visits her local Ford dealer dressed as practitioners of various professions to how Focus’s promise of “more” translates across a variety of lifestyles.

INT. OFFICE

Dr. St. Jermaine PhD is standing next to a plant in her office.

Dr. St. Jermaine:

?Doesn’t the rubber tree have such handsome leaves? That’s printed on a t-shirt I have. Hi, I’m Dr. Genevive St. Jermaine. They say the 2015 Ford Focus believes in more. More to see. More to feel. But more for whom? For...prima ballerinas?

INT. FORD DEALERSHIP:

Suddenly Dr. St. Jermaine is dressed in a prima ballerina outfit. She twirls across frame in front of the car, then twirls back into frame.

CUT TO: Dan showing Dr. St. Jermaine the three colors.

They’re standing in front of a Race Red Focus SE w/ Sport Package.

DAN?

This is the Focus SE in Race Red.

DOCTOR:

I can dance, the dance of race red.

MUSIC in as the doctor does an interpretive red dance

They move over to the Tangerine Scream Focus ST.

DAN (CONT’D)

We call this color tangerine scream...

MUSIC as the doctor does an interpretive orange dance.

They move to a Tectonic ((NOTE: Gray)) Hybrid.

DAN (CONT’D)

...and Focus Electric in Tectonic.

MUSIC as Dr. St. Jermaine does an interpretive gray dance. She uses her tow to open the outlet, then she plugs a cord into the Hybrid and the plug ring lights up.

CUT TO: Montage: Dan takes Dr. St. Jermaine around and shows her the distinctive features of the Focus ST’s exterior styling.

DAN?

This is the Focus ST. The ST body kit incudes twin hexagonal tips, and 18 inch wheels

Pan up to see ballet shoes dancing on the hood of the car.

Pan up again to see that it’s Dr. St. Jermaine holding two fake ballet-slippered feet to dance. She give one to Dan.

DOCTOR:

Grab it with your hand, do you feel that?

DAN:

It feels like wood.

Dan shows her the hexagonal mesh grille.

DAN

A larger opening means more oxygen. More oxygen means more power.

DOCTOR:

Its time. Lift me, Dan.

DAN

Insurance-wise I just can’t.

DOCTOR:

But you’ll wear the outfit.

DAN:

No.

CUT TO: Montage of DOCTOR flailing around the car yelling

DOCTOR:

Noooooooooooooooooooooo!

INT. DEALERSHIP

Kate’s back her regular clothes.

DOCTOR:

There you have it, people. Ford Focus offers more for prima ballerinas.

Dan enters in a ballet costume.

DOCTOR:
