Summary of the work

To make our voice heard, we had to create a new dynamic in the way we approached ecological demands in politics. We had to move away from the logic of power relations to that of a win/win partnership, with one trump card in our hand: the profitability of our solutions. They had the capacity to resolve the situation, and we could provide them with innovative, profitable technologies to deploy in their constituencies.

But wishful thinking doesn't make the political agenda. The Solar Impulse Foundation had yet to prove its worth and carried little weight in the public debate. To reach them, we had to take the first step and demonstrate our willingness to open a dialogue.

The legislative process is long and restrictive, especially for this new majority which is still relatively inexperienced. The enactment of new laws can take months, sometimes even years. So we came up with the idea of saving parliamentarians the most precious thing in politics: time.

Surrounded by an army of lawyers and experts, we identified the sectors in which our solutions could have the greatest impact and drafted turnkey legislation so that political decision-makers only had to press the button. The result: a set of 50 texts illustrated by our solutions and their economic impact, with figures to back them up. A corpus that saves time and creditibility for budding MPs and lives up to its name: Prêt-à-Voter.
