In “The Dreamer,” the Civic journeys from one engineer’s imagination into reality. Traversing a whimsical road of ideas, the Civic encounters various inspirations along the way. And as our engineer’s imagination progresses, so does the road. The spot wraps up with the campaign line, “Direct from our imagination.” The aim is to provide artistic insight into Honda’s process when designing a new vehicle, while creating a sense of astonishment – much like the car itself.

Execution

the spot was launched on TV in january of 2016 but went live in december of 2015. it's media ran for about 4 months. it's reached millions of people via network. cable and online outlets.

Outcome

the track we chose has created a stir beyond the commercial. it has resonated in such a way that the band's career has been revitalized. the band has recorded a new album to be released in september and will be on tour soon.

Strategy

In 2016, Honda completely redesigned one of its most iconic and beloved cars – the Civic. From bumper to bumper it was a total model update. Our challenge was to develop communications that supported the introduction of this distinctive and striking new vehicle, and get the Civic onto the radar of non-Honda buyers.

Synopsis

This spot follows the redesigned 2016 Civic as it navigates the fantastical and surreal Honda ideation process.The aim is to provide artistic insight into Honda’s process when designing a new vehicle, while creating a sense of astonishment – much like the car itself.
