OVERVIEW

Write a short summary of what happens in the film

We open with an homage to a classic film, where Elle Fanning plays our modern-day Audrey Hepburn, crossing New York’s Fifth Avenue to arrive in front of Tiffany & Co’s iconic store. As she dreamily gazes at the diamonds in the window, they spring to life. She turns to discover that New York has transformed from black and white to vivid color: a fantasy world covered in flowers and Tiffany Blue. Dancing to a remix of Moon River featuring hip-hop artist A$AP Ferg, she is joined by a cast of joyful NYC characters. An irreverent dance routine takes them across the magically color-filled city, before she is spun into the air and jolted back to reality. Instantly, we’re back in grayscale, outside Tiffany & Co. As Elle walks away, with a hint of dance in her step, we’re left to wonder- was it all a dream?

Tell the jury about the production design/art direction. You may wish to comment on choices, challenges or effects.

The use of color was a central part of the storytelling. The scenes moved from black and white into vividly colorful, as we transition from the classical, heritage of the brand into the contemporary dreamlike world of Tiffany. It is filled with color, joy and sophistication

The thoughtful production design created a modern-day New York Dream. Strategically using the brand’s signature blue, we create an immersive new Tiffany tinged world. Flower filled art installations adorn street lights and trash cans, scaffolding and streets are lined and draped with Tiffany Blue.

As our heroine progresses through each location, the scope and scale grows, creating an ever crescendoing magical world of Tiffany.
