Whatever Christmas means to you we all share this time of year. It can mean many different things; different traditions, experiences, and meanings but it’s universal and common across the Nation. Just like the BBC. Our Christmas story follows two different families throughout their Christmas Days and the blossoming romance between a member of each of those families. The characters in each of the families provide the comedy, while the couple provide the link that highlights both what makes us different on the surface, yet surprisingly the same. To find our families we auditioned over a thousand actors to create believable groups of families and friends who naturally come together for their Christmas Days. Each actor needed to understand we weren’t trying to ‘be funny’ yet able to have a natural comic sensibility.
