Execution

The key is the euro itself: the user can obtain Connecting Euro via an app store (iOS/Android). He then enters the serial number on his banknote and sends it on its journey – with a personal message attached. With Connecting Euro he can track his own or any other banknote and discover what connects the people of Europe.

With Connecting Euro, the big idea of a Europe without borders is no longer just a vision. And with every post, the idea is lived and shared by every European citizen – regardless of culture or language.

Outcome

The mobile app allows all users to easily log in and sign banknotes from wherever they are: to discover what connects the people of Europe and to actively live the idea of a Europe without borders. The mobile campaign has been cross-linked with the Cortal Consors Facebook Fanpage and increased user activity in Connecting Euro as well as user interest in the bank. The Connecting Euro platform has just been launched and the number of signed banknotes is continuously growing. In the first three weeks we registered more than 900 app downloads (iOS and Android). Together with all other online activities, the mobile campaign generated more than 69 million AdImpressions and more than 140,000 clicks so far.
