OVERVIEW

Description

The HypoVereinsbank Giro Account Start for students is free of charge. On top of the many extras is a welcome gift of 50 Euro for a newly opened account. This offer needed to grab the attention of students at Frankfurt’s University.

Execution

Students are always short of money and the 50 Euro gift offer needed to be made as enticing as possible. Money becomes very desirable when it is close at hand. This was certainly the case when students discovered many 50 Euro notes placed sporadically among books in the university library. A closer inspection of the notes proved that they were not originals but explained how students could receive an original 50 Euros by opening a Giro Account at the HypoVereinsbank.

Outcome

The university library was the perfect location and the promotion was the talk of the campus. Over 70 students opened a new HypoVereinsbank Giro Account.
