Kids Company is a charity with no advertising budget. But it’s a charity that needs to reach people in order to change children’s lives. Twitter Vine was the perfect platform, not only as a way to achieve awareness but because it cost absolutely nothing to do so.
So the originality of the idea was not only in utilising Vine’s functionality to create hard-hitting films that loop (whilst urging the user to ‘make it stop’ by donating) but also through its uniqueness as being one of the first campaigns on Vine, since launch, to address a serious social issue.
Outcome
In the first week of going live, we exceeded our target.
1.2 million impressions were made online and thousands of people re-tweeted the films, including a British Member of Parliament.
But this is just the start.
