OVERVIEW

Description

Instead of being swallowed, a very last blue pill reluctantly winds up travelling all around a little Italian village on top of a hill, miraculously ending its journey inside a Fiat 500's gas tank stopped by a gas station. Behind his back, the owner of the car finds his Fiat 500 "hyped up", thanks to the effect of the blue pill, in a Fiat 500X.

Execution

The casting took place in Milan and Rome. We saw more than 50 men and women. The director, along with the creatives and the casting director, has made a callback of the best 20 couples. The final choice to cast Nini Salerno and Adele Pandolfi seemed to be natural to everyone: they looked like an authentic long-time couple, with a bit of fun and uniqueness in their performances.

Male protagonist casting brief: a man around 65/70 able to empathize with the audience. Not a playboy or a lecherous old guy. He's a normal man enjoying his later years. Not handsome. Very real.

We found: Nini is a great theater actor who suggested building an eccentric character with a strong personality.

Female protagonist casting brief: She is 50 to 60. She is past her prime, but still attractive. A real woman from the village. She could be the man's wife or long time lover, there is an ease and a playful familiarity between them.

We found: Adele is a very good Neapolitan actress who totally got what we had in mind: she's seductive and ironic at the same time, which we think is the strongest feature of this TVC itself.
