In order to surprise visitors and attract them to the stand, we had a team of former pickpockets slip books from the Points catalogue into their pockets.As people found the books in their pockets, they could read on the cover: 'discover the greatest writers in your pocket', with information and special offers leading them the stand.
Outcome
- 1,000 books 'putpocketed' in 5 days.- 30% more visitors came to the Editions Points stand as compared with previous years.- A 14% increase of sales during the week of the fair and the following month.- Over 60,000 visitors on the website dedicated for the operation.
