Execution
We threw a karaoke party for DDB employees and recorded them singing. The worst performances ended up in DDB’s telephone waiting line, followed by the campaign’s tagline: “DDB is looking for new talents. Send us your application”. Also, every performance was available online (at DDB home page) so visitors could listen and download the songs to their mobiles, as ringtones or plain music.
Outcome
In the weeks that followed the campaign, DDB’s Human Resources crew received a total amount of 82 job applications. As a result, the DDB Berlin office grew from 122 to 126 people. Over 250 ringtone downloads were registered, and DDB received dozens of calls of people just wanting to listen to the songs.
