AVOCADOS ARE POPULAR IN THE USA. SO MUCH, THAT THIS COUNTRY IS THE MAIN CONSUMER IN THE WORLD. THIS IS VERY GOOD NEWS FOR COLOMBIA,

BECAUSE IT EXPORTS TONS OF AVOCADOS TO THE STATES.

BUT THERE IS A SMALL PROBLEM AT THE TIME OF CONSUMING AN AVOCADO: YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO MATURE.

SO WE HAD TO THINK OF A SOLUTION THAT HELPED AMERICANS TASTE A PERFECTLY RIPED COLOMBIAN AVOCADO.

Idea

IN COLOMBIA, WE HAVE AN INGENIOUS, SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE WAY TO RIPE AVOCADOS: WE WRAPPED THEM IN NEWSPAPER.

Strategy

OUR AUDIENCE, THE USA, IS THE MAIN CONSUMER OF AVOCADOS IN THE WORLD, AND COLOMBIA IS EXPORTING TONS OF THEM TO THE STATES.

WE HAD A VERY LOW BUDGET, BUT WE WANTED TO REACH MILLIONS. THIS IS WAY WE PUBLISHED A DISRUPTIVE AN USEFUL AD IN THE NEW YORK TIMES EXPLAINING THE TRADITIONAL WAY WE RIPEN AVOCADOS IN COLOMBIA

Execution

WE PUBLISHED AN AD IN THE NEW YORK TIMES EXPLAINING THE TRADITIONAL WAY WE RIPEN AVOCADOS IN COLOMBIA: WRAPPING THEM IN NEWSPAPER.

ALTHOUGH PEOPLE MAY NOT THINK SO, IT WORKS. IT´S EASY, PRACTICAL, AND ABOVE ALL, EFFECTIVE

SO, THOSE WHO RIPENED THEIR AVOCADOS FOLLOWING THE ADVICE OF THE AD COULD SEE IF IT WAS BETTER FOR SALAD OR GUACAMOLE.

Outcome

WE MADE LIFE EASIER AND TASTEFULLY TO AMERICANS BECAUSE NOW THEY KNOW HOW TO TASTE A PERFECTLY RIPED COLOMBIAN AVOCADO.
